What is DNS (Domain Name System)? How to Change DNS setting

The Domain Name System (DNS) is the contact book of the Internet. Domain Name System translates domain names (eg www.tricksupdate.com) to IP addresses (192.168.X.X) that computers use to connect to each other.

When you open a web browser and go to a website, you don’t have to remember the IP address and enter a long number. Instead, you can enter a domain name like tricksupdate.com and still end up with the right result because of DNS

DNS servers translate requests for names into IP addresses, DNS is a powerful network that keeps billions of internet users and over 250 million domain names connecting. The transparent network runs in the background whenever you send a query for the website.

How Does DNS Work

A website, mobile phones, tablets, laptops have an IP address means everything that’s connected to the internet has IP address. Every time you use a domain name, the DNS service locates the website and translates the name into its corresponding IP address. Alphabetic domain names are easier to remember than IP address numbers, so when you type www.tricksupdate.com into a web browser, you only have to remember the URL(Domain name) not the IP address.

It is very hard to remember millions of IP address, so thanks to DNS that converts the IP address to the domain name and vice versa.DNS match the domain names with their corresponding IP addresses

The Internet Service Providers provide DNS servers to their customers however a user can change their DNS setting and can use third-party DNS into there internet setting here you can learn Advantage of using third-party DNS Server
